Venice Beach and the Wayfarers Chapel

I arrived in LA on the 28.6.2016 which seems to be ages ago to me, because so much happened in the meantime and I’ve been to so many beautiful places. Sorry guys I’m way behind with blogging once again, but I hope you enjoy my posts anyway. After a horribly bumpy flight in 50 passenger plane, we landed in Salt Lake City where I had to change flights to LA. I tell you, I bet everyone on this plane was relieved, when we finally hit ground again, because at least one passenger had to use the barfing bag, poor one, and several other looked poorly, me included, though I took my medicine against sickness, it didn’t really help. You get the picture. Well of course I worried about my connecting flight to LA, because going on another flight, already feeling dizzy and sick won’t help the condition. But luckily all went well, though it was pretty bumpy as well, but not as bad as the first flight. After getting my rental car, I arrived very exhausted at the hotel.

Loved my stay at the Best Western in Newport Beach. I had to change the hotel the other day, because it was fully booked.

The next day I went to explore Venice Beach. I loved it. The canals were so pretty.

I took a walk at the beach and then took a drive to Rancho Palos Verdes to visit the Wayfarers Chapel. Those who know me, know that I have a thing for beautiful churches. I just love feeling a certain peace and joy there, and marveling at the architecture and think about history that may have happened in these buildings long time ago. Though Wayfarers Chapel wasn’t build long ago in 1949, it is unique and gorgeous, not only because of the architecture, but also because it is located in the hills with a breathtaking view over the Pacific Ocean.
